FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 11-10-08: Sonora, California. Golden State Cellular and Summerville High School have announced a program designed to promote spirit at the school. SHS students Megan Maloy and Shauta Murry, accompanied by Senior Advisor Mitch Heldstab, visited with GSC Marketing & Communications Director Darrell Slocum and proposed the arrangement which consists of the purchase of specially designed Bear Tee Shirts that will be strategically “launched” in to the stands at athletic events and rallies by a newly formed spirit squad called the Black Attack. GSC agreed to finance the purchase of the shirts after Megan and Shauta sold the program pointing out the benefits of increased visibility resulting from placing the companies name on the back of the shirt. This is the third year of this unique program conceived by Mr. Heldstab as a way to get students more involved with the business aspect of fund raising and illustrating the benefit of partnerships.
